Home heating and cooling in New Braunfels

Hill Country houses take heat from every direction: long summers, dark roofs and attics that sit above 130°F on an August afternoon. We plan around that.

Where the cooling goes

In most homes here the ducts run through the attic. A leak there doesn't just lose air — it pulls attic heat straight into the supply. Sealing and insulating ducts often does more for comfort than a bigger unit would.

A quick test

On a hot afternoon, feel the air at a register far from the unit and at one close to it. A big difference between them usually points at the ducts rather than the equipment.
